Craft & Story
This saree is printed and finished at our studio in Bangalore, India. A design is drawn out and then set onto the cloth through a specialist digital print route — the same route on every length we make. Here, a taupe-and-brown floral runs all over and meets a panelled pallu of geometric diamonds — a soft, monochromatic idiom. Because the design is printed digitally rather than left to chance, what was drawn is what lands on the drape: the taupe holds its tone and the repeat stays even from the first pleat to the pallu. This is one expression of a wide and growing range of shades and prints — each piece a single, chosen colourway rather than one of a fixed lot.

The print
A taupe, brown and white floral repeats all over the body and meets a panelled pallu of geometric diamonds and parallel lines in brown and grey tones. A narrow solid brown band runs along the edge.
The feel
Soft and smooth in the hand, the drape is light at 50 GSM and opaque, so it falls cleanly with no sheerness. A neutral taupe is an easy office and everyday drape that pairs with almost any blouse.
The shade and repeat come off one print route, so the piece you receive matches what you see rather than a one-off run.
Before you wear it
It arrives as an unstitched drape, which leaves the finishing to you: add the fall and pico, and have the 80 cm blouse piece stitched to your own measurements before the first wear. Finishing it yourself means the fit is yours from the first drape.
Care
Dry clean it before the first wash to set the print and the colour. After that, a gentle cold hand wash with a soft detergent is fine. Do not machine wash and do not wring it.
Dry it flat or hung in the shade without folding, and iron it inside out on low to medium heat under a cotton press cloth.
Colour hues may vary slightly from the images because of different screens and displays, so the shade you receive may read slightly different from the photograph.
