Pitta work, is�a flattened form of embroidery also.�known as 'dabke ka kaam'. In pitta work the sequins. and embroidery threads are flattened and not raised. Kota silk, also known as Kota Doria or Kota Dori, is a lightweight, sheer fabric originating from Kota, Rajasthan, India. It is made from a blend of cotton and silk yarns, woven on traditional pit looms to create a distinctive checkered or square pattern called "khat." Kota silk sarees are prized for their airy texture, delicate drape, and vibrant colors, making them popular choices for both casual and formal wear, especially in warm climates.
