Kota Doria is a sheer, lightweight fabric crafted from cotton and silk in Kota, Rajasthan. It features a distinctive checkered weave known as "khat." Used primarily for sarees and garments, it combines comfort with elegance. Handwoven on traditional looms, Kota Doria embodies a rich heritage and craftsmanship, celebrated with a Geographical Indication tag. Kalamkari is a traditional Indian art form that involves hand-painting or block-printing intricate designs on textiles using natural dyes. Originating from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, it encompasses two styles: Srikalahasti and Machilipatnam. Kalamkari textiles often depict mythological narratives, floral motifs, and geometric patterns, celebrated for their vivid colors and detailed craftsmanship.
