Craft & Story
This saree is printed and finished at our studio in Bangalore, India. A design is drawn out and then set onto the cloth through a specialist digital print route — the same route on every length we make. Here, a small green-and-white floral body gives way to a pallu of olive, burnt orange and cream stripes, so the two ends of the drape play off each other. Because the design is printed digitally rather than left to chance, what was drawn is what lands on the drape: the green and orange holds its tone and the repeat stays even from the first pleat to the pallu. This is one expression of a wide and growing range of shades and prints — each piece a single, chosen colourway rather than one of a fixed lot.

The pattern
A small green-and-white floral and leaf print covers the body and gives way to a pallu of alternating olive green, burnt orange and off-white stripes. The two ends of the drape read quite differently from each other.
On the body
Light at 50 GSM and opaque, the fabric drapes softly and never shows through. The airy palette is made for daytime — daily wear, the office, or a light daytime event.
The blouse piece is included on the same length, so there is no separate hunt for a matching fabric.
Before you wear it
It arrives as an unstitched drape, which leaves the finishing to you: add the fall and pico, and have the 80 cm blouse piece stitched to your own measurements before the first wear. Finishing it yourself means the fit is yours from the first drape.
Care
Dry clean it before the first wash to set the print and the colour. After that, a gentle cold hand wash with a soft detergent is fine. Do not machine wash and do not wring it.
Dry it flat or hung in the shade without folding, and iron it inside out on low to medium heat under a cotton press cloth.
Colour hues may vary slightly from the images because of different screens and displays, so the shade you receive may read slightly different from the photograph.
